MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
KEY OBJECTIVES:
Deliver solutions which enable social and economic development for MOP/BOP (MBOP) customers, by creating scalable technology and business platforms, resulting in hundreds of millions of engaged MBOP customers that generate sustainable long term business growth for our client.
- Responsibilities:
• Grow Microsoft revenue and market share in the BOP/MOP by successfully designing and introducing new initiatives and programs.
• Manage partnerships (traditional and non-traditional partners) to increase Microsoft’s penetration and revenue in BOP/MOP by increasing access of BOP/MOP to technology and to incubate business models to monetize these accesses.
• Lead virtual team to orchestrate successful UPG product/solution launches including: internal awareness/excitement/training, content for external training (e.g., partner/channel), product revenue forecasting and budgeting, roll-up of marketing launch budget, PR lead, product messaging & positioning, product and offer localization, product evangelist.
• Orchestrate company’s marketing activities and liaise with Product Manager(s) for business execution around relevant product(s).
• Engage effectively with Corp/RHQ product marketing leaders and other leading subsidiaries to learn from, and share programs plus relevant information
• Attend regular (bi-weekly/monthly) conference calls along with Business Group owners with Corporate/RHQ
• Proactively contribute to annual strategic planning process. Establish fiscal year goals along key metrics to include revenue and market share for relevant initiatives
• Serve as the internal and external spokesperson for PR/Event Delivery/Evangelism for the relevant product(s), solution(s), Customer Campaign(s). External events include press initiatives, public relations, seminars and solutions briefings, and high profile trade/industry events
• Support the sales force as requested on special sales calls, customer briefings & sales readiness around the relevant product(s), solution(s), Customer Campaign(s).
- Responsibility/Activity:
• Plan, execute, and manage UPG initiatives designed to drive increase of access to technology, and to incubate business models designed to monetize these accesses.
• Secures, engages, and manages partnerships to further advance the UPG mission within Vietnam; i.e., driving relevance, accessibility, and affordability to the BOP/MOP audiences.
• Works with relevant stakeholders to develop and execute on strategy to “tell the story” on UPG initiatives
• Participate, and contribute to Corporate / regional reviews and strategy sessions inclusive of monthly ROB and annual review / planning process.
- Role in Business Process:
• Results : Ultimately responsible for driving the UPG mission within Vietnam, inclusive of initiatives around shared access platform, affordable computing solutions, and using shared access platforms to transform education. Also responsible for positive perception changing news around UPG initiatives.
• Business relationships and interdependencies: Has impact across the entire subsidiary. Interacts directly with key government and NGOs, as well as with key partners. Coordinates with Corporate / Regional UPG Team to develop quarterly and annual UPG plans. Contributes to establishing local strategy with BMO Director and PR Leads.
• Decision making: Makes key strategic decisions that will positively impact Microsoft’s execution of the Unlimited Potential initiatives’ impact on BOP / MOP in Vietnam. These decisions may also have impact on Microsoft’s local and global image.
• Strategy and Development: Working with the relevant stakeholders, develops strategies to further increase access to technology for BOP / MOP, as well as strategies to monetize these accesses. Also responsible to work with local PR lead to develop strategies to “tell the UPG story” in Vietnam. The Corporate UPG Group prepares annual Corporate UPG plans which are refined by the regional UPG team to guide the subsidiaries in their local planning. The BDM will have access to centrally published product/solution content on InfoWeb, and will work with the BMO Director to customize planning for the subsidiary.
- People Management: This position is an individual contributor position. Position manages partners (traditional and non traditional, inclusive of Government agencies, NGOs, content providers, system builders) that advance the UPG mission from an overall relationship, operational and financial point of view, as well as day-to-day operational matters.
• Communication/Business Relationships: Works as a member of a regional team to plan UPG activities. This position also works with a local Project Manager to ensure effective delivery of the shared access platform proof-of-concept. Works with key partners along the pillars of accessibility, relevance, and affordability to increase technology access for BOP / MOP.
• Fiscal Responsibilities: Controls overall UPG budget in coordination with the BMO Director.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
To become a good UPG Business Development Manager, the job holder should to have main requirements as follows:
• Local Vietnamese
• MBA or Bachelor degree in IT.
• Degree in IT or Business management preferred
• Minimum 8 years experience in sales and marketing.
• Should have a strong knowledge of the IT sector and to know the IT market players.
• Good coordination, presentation and communications skills
• Language knowledge: fluent English written and spoken
• Sales / Negotiation skills, Presentation skills
• Process development and trends
• Customer relationship management
